Hi,
A few days ago, I got the HP 870cxi printer second hand, and I seem to have
a problem with system 9.1. I have downloaded the last version (9.4), as well
as the updater, but the last does not update my files.
All I need, is someone to send me by personal email the upgraded 9.4.2
version of the DJ870Cxi driver (serial, not AT). The file resides in the
extensions folder named "DJ 800 Series", and you can see the version, with
the "get info" command. Must be around 1.5 MB.
I 'd be grateful.
thanks in advance

Although I know you've since received the updated file by e-mail, I'd
like to tell you how I fixed this problem for my friend. Apparently
there are stray HP files that leads the updater program to think that
it's already been updated. So what I did was start the original
installer, then choose "Uninstall" and uninstalled the driver. Then I
reinstalled the driver, ran the updater and the updater worked fine.

Thanks a lot for the advice Jackie.
I had tried it twice but it didn?t work on my machine. Maybe it had
something to do with the fact that my hardware is not pure Apple. I have a
Umax Apus 3000 upgraded to G3/300.
glad it worked for both of us
regards
