G'day,

I've got 2 HD's in my mac (G4). On my HD-60GB I would like to put my
OS-TIGER and all of my software. Is it possible to use the second HD 40GB as
a backup disk without installing an OS on it?

Thx!

Fred

Of course. Put whatever you want on it.

I do that all the time. When Tiger boots up, it will list the second
hard drive on the desktop. You can either double-click on the drive
there, or access it through the finder. As long as any drive is
formatted so the OS can use it, you can have as many drives on your
system as you want (if you want to use internal and external drives).

No problem.

Sure,
Erase slave/second drive first and depending how much information you are
copying - it will work.
