(please forgive the extensive cross posting... I'm just trying to get the message out far & wide)

MacHack comes ADHOC - or -- here's why Macintosh Developers should attend the ultimate
conference by Mac Developers for Mac Developers.

No doubt you've heard of MacHack, the ultimate technology conference for Apple-focused
developers. You may have also heard the conference has changed its name (it's now
Advanced Developers Hands-On Conference, check out the F.A.Q. on the website),
but we're still targeting the latest & greatest technologies centered
around innovative products from innovating people. In tandem with the new
name we're also changing the hack show somewhat, the rest of the conference
(the contents, the mission, the networking, the fun, the caffeine) all stay the same!

ADHOC 2004 happens on July 21st through July 24th, a few weeks after Apple's
Information Dissemination conference. This should give plenty of time to absorb
what was said there, get some work done for your bosses, and come to ADHOC with
great ideas for spontaneous projects. ADHOC is a great companion to WWDC;
and if the budgets can't afford Apple's conference, ADHOC is a wonderful way to
get an introduction and hands-on experience with new technologies.
We're also expanding our conference coverage to cover related platforms and
technologies (Palm, UNIX, and more).

We have two great keynote speakers scheduled to appear: David Pogue, New York Times
technology columnist, an author of manuals & how-to books with over 3 million published,
a Broadway composer and excellent piano player. Our second keynote speaker is still
under wraps but will be announced shortly.

Being a conference by Mac Developers for Mac Developers, you can help contribute
to ADHOC's content. If you know something you're particularly good at, have learned
some new Apple technology over the past year or so, and you'd like to lead a session
on this topic, your fellow participants would definitely appreciated your efforts!
Speakers also enjoy a very healthy discount off the already affordable standard
registration fees. Check out the Call For Speakers page
( http://www.adhocconf.com/callforsessions.html ) for further details.

Here are important dates to remember:

Last day for Early Registration 4/16/04

Make plans to be there A.S.A.P.

Book your stay at the hotel early, we have negotiated rates of under $100 per night
for participants. Look at the website ( http://www.adhocconference.com ) for details.

Why O why can't my employer keep me in Mac work long enough to justify
this trip?
