I've botched my airport trying to share files with a friend. My
airport signal has an arrow through it and I don't know what it means
but I cannot get online any more through airport, only the ethernet.
I've tried everything. Sharing-turning off/on, Rebooting, Network
fixings but nothing seems to work.

Also now since this arrow thing, my wireless airport network no longer
is even an option to choose. How do I find out my airport network
specific name?

You have (accidently?) selected the sharing of another interface (modem or
ADSL) through your airport interface.

Click: System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet -> Stop
