AOL doesn't really number their Mac versions the same way they do with
their PC versions. The Mac version has been just called "AOL for OS X"
for as long as I can remember. I am sure that if you are downloading
it from AOL's site, however, that you will be getting whatever the most
recent version is.
Is there any good reason you are still using AOL? Many people choose
to stick with it under Windows because they believe that it is easier
to use and less complicated. This isn't really the case under OS X;
many other ISPs are actually easier to use under OS X than AOL is.
Depending on how often you use your Mac, a broadband connection might
be a decent investment. AOL is $24 a month; in many parts of the
country, you can get a dial-up connection that is 50 times faster for
$3 more ($27 a month) through SBC/Yahoo.
If you're looking to stay on dial-up and save some money, you might
want to look at Speakeasy's dial-up service. Speakeasy is a very
well-respected internet provider and they offer an unlimited dial-up
plan with tons of access numbers for $20 a month,

Hope this helps you out and helps you to see the light. :-)
