I am trying to access the MusicGiants.com software client which is
based on Windows XP. It is like iTunes but only for Windows, with
higher quality music which I want to download to my mac and use WMP 9
for mac OS X. If I create a remote desktop (or possibly ftp server?)
on my home PC will I be able to use RDC to access the PC and use the
software to download music to my mac? Anyone with any other ideas
please let me know. thanks

bob

Hi bob!

I won't say you'll be able to accomplish your goal because I'm not
familiar with MusicGiants.com.

The RDC client on a Mac OS X system can connect to a Windows XP
Professional or Windows Server system configured for RDC connections and
create a remote login session. A feature of RDC is that you can make
your local hard disk available to the Windows system. It will appear as
a drive with a letter such as F: or whatever is available. Anything that
you can download with the Windows system can be copied to the "F:" drive
and therefore transferred to your Mac.

Before making a connection with the RDC client, twiddle the Options
disclosure triangle to review your connection settings. You'll be able
to specify that local resources (your hard disk) will be shared.

Hope this helps! bill
