OK...Running Outlook Express 5.0.6 on a Mac PPC8500, OS 9.1. Was=20
using OE 5.0.2 which was stacked with emails and addresses I wanted=20
to import to 5.0.6. Well when running the Import menu item, it went=20
through all the motions, but only imported a "Welcome to Outlook=20
Express" email. I've tried millions of times and I get the same thing. =
It=20
won't import my old emails or addresses.
5.0.2 originally imported emails and addresses from OE 4.0.2. I notice=20
that the 4.0.2 OE folder has several folders 5.0.2 and 5.0.6 do not=20
have, specifically Users, Preferences, Tems folders and the like. Inside =
the Users/Main Users/Inbox folder, I can see the Index and Mail file,=20
but I cannot for the life of my import it.
I think these folders must need a new location under 5.0.X, or they are=20
to be embedded in the application file or another file I cannot =
identify.=20
I've been through the System folder, Preferences, Extensions, etc., and=20
can't find anything except an OE Pref file, which when I trash it, makes =
no difference.
Can ANYONE help? I need these addresses, and now I can't access them=20
through any version of OE, as I'm afraid I trashed the "heavy" OE 5.0.2=20
folder, even though I have a duplicate folder on my drive.
BTW, I have NEVER had a successful email or address import from=20
Netscape, Outlook, Eudora, etc. Maybe karma? Anyway can you help?=20
How can I stuff the Users/Mail/Inbox and Address files from the od=20
folder into the new application? Or what else can I do to access my old=20
email and addresses?
Thanks.
