I colleague created an Excel file on MS-windows which includes several
financial functions e.g. YIELD, DURATION, PRICE, etc. The spreadsheet
opens but all those cells say #NAME? -- clearly the functions aren't
built in and didn't make the transition.

How to access those functions? On my Tools/Add-ins menu, the only one
is "Euro-currency tool."

While I certainly don't want to insult you, I'm going to risk chiding
you a bit...

In the past, MS application Help has been at best mediocre, more usually
abominable. However, starting with XL98, Help has been getting better
and better, and Mac users need to start using it like our Windows
counterparts do.

From XL Help:

 > YIELD
 > Returns the yield on a security that pays periodic interest.
 > Use YIELD to calculate bond yield.
 > If this function is not available, and returns the #NAME? error,
 > install and load the Analysis ToolPak add-in.

There's a link there that tells you how, but from your message, you
already know.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

You didn't insult me and I appreciate the response.
On my Tools/Add-ins menu, there is no link that tells me how to load
the "Analysis" tool-pak. There is a SELECT... button, but I do not know
where the "Analysis" tool-pak resides (as I mentioned in my initial
post).. I am willing to risk being chided again - where is it?

Still didn't look at Help, eh?

If you follow the link on, say, the Yield, page:

Instead of the Setup Assistant, though, look for the Value Pack
installer inside the Value Pack folder which can be found on your
