My airport base is fluctuating between the green ready light and some
RED lights. I have not seen these lights before and I have had this
installed for a few years???

I have a solid ready light on my router.

And I have tried to unplug the base and replug it in.

We are getting dropped signals at our computers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the original graphite basestation? That is the only one that
I have any experience with - when my basestation started doing that,
it conked out within a month or two. The problem with it was burned out
capacitors. They were cheap and easy to replace. The replacement
capacitors have worked for almost two years now. The instructions that
I used are here: <http://www.vonwentzel.net/ABS/Repair/index.html>

You can get replacement capacitors (25V/330 microFarads was what I
used) at your local electronics store.
