Post subject: Airport Printing Problem
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>system, others (more info?)

I am using an Airport Extreme with software 3.4 and firmware 5.4. I
have it plugged into a router into which I have connected an iMac
through ethernet and a cable modem. I also have 3 iBooks on my network
via Airport.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 890 plugged into the Airport, which I share
on the network. All computers had access to the printer, but I just lost
the ability to find the printer using the Printer Setup Utility. When I
initially setup the network using the router, an Apple Tech had me
change some settings in order to make the printer accessible in this
configuration (I no longer remember what the settings were!).

I think I lost this printing ability when I just updated my Airport
software/firmware.

Any help would be appreciated. I know that I could bypass the router,
but I couldn't get a valid IP from Comcast when I did that (the reason
for the Apple Tech call).

Thanks,
Ken
