Hi,
I noticed the following post (don't ask how - I don't even have a
Mac):

I've noticed a lot of posts in regards to this great old game in the
various mac Newsgroups, and I managed to track down the creators of
the
game, who currently exist under the guise of Evryware.

I sent them an email message in regards to AAoW, and here is the
reply.
Just wanted to share this with everyone who might be interested:
That's an extremely interesting mention regarding a new online game,
but
no clue as if it is Mac or PC or both.

Hi Michael,
I am sorry to say that The Ancient Art of War is no longer available
from
our publisher or us. Even if you had a copy, it wouldn't run on
contemporary
computers since it was never updated. I don't even know if it is
available
anywhere on the Internet. If I had a version that worked on modern
computers, I would be happy to give it to you. (I'd like to get one
myself!)
We are currently working on an online game that is similar to Ancient
Art
of
War. I will keep your E-mail address on file and let you know when it
is
running.
Best regards,
Barry

Interestingly enough, I also sent them an email at about that time. I
got a similar reply:

Mueen,
I am sorry to say that Championship Boxing is no longer available from
our
publisher or us. Even if you had a copy, it wouldn't run on
contemporary
computers since it was never updated. I don't even know if it is
available
anywhere on the Internet. If I had a version that worked on modern
computers, I would be happy to give it to you. (I'd like to get one
myself!)
We are currently working on an online game that is more like our
Ancient Art
of War than Boxing but I will keep your E-mail address on file and let
you
know when it is running.
Best regards,
Barry

I did actually manage to find Boxing, and am happy to say that both
games still work on my P4, although I really have to slow them down.
I thought I'd just throw that in. The REAL reason I'm posting is some
sad news I got today - Barry Murry, co-creator of those games, passed
away on October 15th, 2001:

For anyone interested, here's a fairly comprehensive site on the game:

It would be awesome if someone could remake the game...
