Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>scitech (more info?)

We have just released pro Fit 5.6.6 for Mac OS X. This is an update for
version 5.6.5 of our tool for the analysis and presentation of numerical
data and mathematical functions. The update provides various bug fixes
in the application and its 3D plotting plug-in, and is recommended to
all users of pro Fit 5.6.x.

pro Fit 5.6.6 is immediately available for $95 from our web page at
http://www.quansoft.com. The upgrade is free for current owners of pro
Fit 5.5.x or 5.6.x.

We also offer a highly functional pro Fit Trial version, which can be
used by anyone who does not want to buy the full version, and which
allows prospective users to work with pro Fit in real world
applications. The pro Fit trial package has also been updated to version
5.6.6.

pro Fit 5.6 -- short description
pro Fit 5.6 is a powerful tool for the analysis, processing, plotting
and evaluation of numerical data and mathematical functions on Mac OS X
and 9.x. It comes with a spreadsheet editor for handling numeric, date
and time, and alphanumeric data sets of millions of rows and columns, a
drawing editor for creating high quality graphs and presentations,
powerful curve fitting and data analysis tools, a built-in Pascal-based
compiler with complex and matrix data types, a source-level debugger for
programming functions and macros, a plug-in
for creating 3D graphs using OpenGL, import filters for KG, HDF,
JCANP-DX and many other data formats, and more. It provides a context
sensitive help mechanism, is scriptable and recordable with Apple Script
and Pascal commands, and supports many of the latest technologies
introduced with Mac OS X. For running on MacOS 9.x, pro Fit 5.6 requires
CarbonLib 1.5 or later.
