Hi,

I have just turned on Auto Filter so that I can sort the names in a
column in alphabetical order. I was able to do this, but wondered is
there a way to get them back to what they were prior to filtering? I
know you can uncheck the auto filter which takes away the filtering
options and the drop down lists that appear to the top of each column,
but is there a way to revert back to the way it was before filtering?

Any help would be appreciated.

Seraya

After the sort and before you do anything else, you can try undo, cmd-z.
Otherwise close the window and don't save, to revert to the prior state
(assuming it was saved in the first place).

If you frequently need to return the list to another sequence, a good short
cut is to add another column and enter sequential numbers. (You can do this
with fill-down). Then after sorting, you can always sort again on this
column to return the list to its original sequence.
