Post subject: Backing Up Emails and Moving to New Computer
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>office>mac>entourage (more info?)

Hi,

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered a dozen times, but I did a
Google search on the group and couldn't find the answer. I also searched the
Microsoft site. So, here goes.

I'm getting a new computer. Rather than restore a cloned version of my
current set up, I'm going to install fresh software.

I know I can use the clone of my "users" file, but I don't find any of the
entourage stuff in there.

I want to restore all of my Entourage data -- emails in folders, addresses,
settings, etc.

First, I want to burn all the important emails to a cd.

I'll also have them on a clone of my original hard drive.

Problem is, I can't find them anywhere on the original hard drive -- other
than in the folders in the Entourage window.

Can someone please tell me where the following are stored?

Emails (where are the folders stored -- I don't find them in my documents
folder)

Addresses

Account settings

And, is there a document I can read to tell me how to burn these folders to
CD.

Once I have the new computer, how do I get all this stuff back on it?

Thanks so much.

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure this out and I'm baffled.
