Whenever Allsoft's Disk Warrior fails to see or repair a failed drive, I
have good success with Prosoft's Disk Rescue X. This recovers deleted or
files from a crashed disk to a network disk or external.I'm still using Disk
Rescue X, but I think its been superceded by a newer program now, you can
download a demo, this lets you see whats recoverable and you can recover one
file to check it works before purchasing, so nothing lost.
If you have to go down the hardware data recovery route, which isn't always
successful, it can cost a lot. I've seen bills of around £900 for data
recovered by Kroll Ontrack.
Good luck. Steve
