Hi Kraig,
MS came back to me with the following.
-----------------------------------------------------
I am unable to repro this bug in Office 11, here are the steps I took
please let me know if I have missed out on a step:
1 Launch Word
2 Go to Insert | Picture | From File, selected a jpg from the desktop
and check the Link to Picture checkbox in the Insert Picture dialog and
unchecked the Save with Document checkbox
3 After inserting the picture in the document, I went to Word |
Preferences |View and checked the "Field codes" check box to display the
field code and then clicked on the OK button
4 I then changed the file name to another jpg which was on my desktop
5 To update the link I went to Edit | Links, unchecked the "Save picture
in document" checkbox, clicked on the "Update Now" button and then the
"OK" button in the "Links" dialog
6 Then went to the word preference dialog to uncheck the field codes
checkbox
The image was the second image that the link points to; here are some
questions for you:
1 What were the locations of the image files were they in different
folders or volumes?
2 What was the file format of the images?
