Does anyone know what hardware is required to build your own external firewire
enclosure?

I would like to take a generic PC case with powersupply and put bridgeboard
in it and then use it as an external firewire enclosure for my mac. Are
there any complications I don't know about or is it that simple?

I appreciate any help and advice.

Well, you'll need to trick the PC powersupply into actually providing
power. I'm not sure how to do this, but it relies on some sort of signal
from a PC motherboard. Otherwise the power supply won't provide voltage to
anything. Why not just use a traditional drive enclosure? I've never seen
a bridgeboard that supports more than two IDE drives in it, anyway.
