If you're getting this bus error partway through the startup process,
then you may have a bad extension. But if, as I suspect, you get this
bus error right at the start, you probably have a problem with your hard
drive's boot blocks. The simple solution is to back up, reformat the
hard drive, and restore. When you do, you might as well reinstall the
system clean, just to be on the safe side. m.
