Does anyone use Untrainus for any "legitimate" purpose, anymore?

Like, what if he was gone -- would anyone care?

Or, what if you could only untrain once per day/week/udpate/whatever?
Who would be bothered by that?

Some have suggested that the only folks who use untrainus are bots,
Library "instant experts", and number-crunchers -- not exactly the
reason we put him in.

So, does anyone REALLY use Untrainus, anymore?

Thanks!

I used him to completely re-form a character around a new set of skills
because the old ones were getting boring and I felt the sacrifice of
ranks was worth not having to pay ten bucks and go through the newbie
experience again.

I know several other folks who also have used him "legitimately" to
change their direction midstream as well (Slyph comes to mind as a
good example; Nyssa as a bad one). It's a good, if drastic, option.

And as one of those pesky number crunchers, I never use Untrainus
"illegimimately" because he always leaves some training behind and it
takes effort to figure out what that base is before I can move
forward; it's a lot easier to reset and wait awhile.

As soon as I figure out how to make Algerbot say the right stuff, sure,
I'll have some legitimate business for Untrainus (or better yet,
Resetus). It's the last truly noble quest left in Clan Lord.

I'm almost 100% sure I know why you are posting this, and which
character(s) it involves.... perhaps you need to instead look at WHY
it is being done and fix that, instead of addressing this "untrainus"
side issue that it has created.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Amen Nightbird ;D Also, I don't think it'd be fair to other players to
take away Untrainus because of what one player has been driven to.

I use Untrainus occasionally, and everything I do is inherently legitimate.

Just study with Knox or Angilsa for a year and a half as I have and you
won't need Untrainus. =o)

(I posted a reply to this yesterday, but for some reason it hasn't
shown up, for me anyway, damned google, so sorry if some of you get
this twice)

I'm pretty damn sure I know exactly why you are bringing this up, HGM,
I think that it would be better to instead look at this SYMPTOM as
what it is, a SYMPTOM of a bigger, different problem.

sorry if thats vague, but I don't want to start tossing names out
there... not yet anyway.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Ah yes i think i would mind, i also know a few exiles who have
untrained due to messing up their training. You never know when you
might get bored of you char and untrain them. Why would you want to
take him away?
