Hello....

I am CSS/XHTML newbie and this site is my first attempt at using these
standards.

Although my site looks okay in Firefox and iCab on the Mac (and works
just fine on the PC side too) when it comes to Safari the site is so
totally messed up I wondering if it is even recognizing my style
sheet...my goal was to code to the XHTML-strict specification.

Can someone take a quick look and give me a clue as to what I need to
do to address this issue? The url is www.crowdigitalmedia.com

Thanks for any and all help.

Further investigation and the use of the W3C Markup Validation Service
on my home page and my services page has shown that the errors seem to
be mostly centered around:

1. A dreamweaver extension (Kaosweaver) that creates a rotating image
javascript for the home page

2. Dreamweaver 8's generated code for the inclusion of Flash video
files which I used throughout the site

3. The code used to display a search box for a free search engine
service I'm using called Freefind.

Does anyone think these problems would be minimized if I changed the
doctype declaration from XHTML-strict to transitional?

Thanks Frank...after I posted my question I realized maybe I could
redirect Safari browsers to a version of my site that doesn't use the
search and rotating images javascript that are causing some of the
problems. I'm half way through with that getting that solution
implemented.

Not sure what to do about the Flash Videos yet other than provide it as
a downloadable file and not have it play automatically so I don't need
the player code. Also, I might be able to use a different style sheet
as part of the solution.

Zeile 45 Zeichen 6 - Warnung: <input> element not empty or not closed

tell your customers and loose them. I work on Macs and HAVE to check IE6
as well and have to face bugs there on every corner. And though I can
tell my customers why it is more work to make it run on IE 6 some times
and keep available details to proof the difference from plain w3c code,
it is my job to make a page looking good everywhere.
Greetings Frank

I am really unsure if my English just doesn't cover subtle differences,
but from what I understand "well-formed" is not an adequate to
"required".
CSS is the best way styling content and meant to be a tool for
programmers to do so.
So if you think a fully grown web product is just content, you are
right. Real life forces us to programm for IE, Firefox and maybe some
close relatives. Those browsers ignoring CSS are of no interest for most
custumers and just part of strange theoretical argumentations.
