Hello.
We are running OS X Server 10.3.9 on a G5 Single Processor X Serve. I
have 3 LaserWriter 16/600 printers setup as queues in OS X Admin with
AppleTalk turned on. I then have created a printer class of the 3
queues combined to distribute print jobs. Even though the queues are
idle, as we having nothing printing at the moment, the CPU on our
Xserve seems to be at nearly 100% all the time. The OS X Activity
Monitor shows CUPS taking anywhere from 89% to 92% continuously. Is
this a bug in the CUPS software? Force quitting the process drops the
CPU usage back to normal. Anyone have any idea's on this?
Thanks.
Rick
