I am a new user to Mac, and to be honest I quite like it. I have a
question regarding excel for mac.
I am using office x, and my chart wizard button will not highlight, and
I want to put a graph into an excel spreadsheet to show separation of
catergories. I am operating a macbook pro tiger 10.4
Can anyone help?

Hi Jenny -

Make sure you have the latest Office X updates (10.1.7 & Security Update
8/8/06) from http://www.microsoft.com/mac/. Also be sure you're OS is fully
updated (OS X 10.4.7 available from the Apple web site
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxupdate1047intel.html)If you
need to install either make sure to run Disk Utility - Repair Disk
Permissions afterwards... some don't believe it necessary, but I'm convinced
it helps & can't hurt :)

If there is still a problem click the right end of a toolbar to get into the
Customize Tolbars & Menus dialog. On the Toolbars page click the *name* of
the Standard Toolbar, then click the Reset button.

Should that not resolve it come back & post your results.
