And it is pretty well true of pencil and paper RPGs as well.

It is a huge task for a GM to pour a lot of themselves into a project
and also maintain enough introspective to see when they're screwing up.
Very few manage to do it.

To those who read the "mud wimping" article: where do you stand?

I do think ClanLord's GMs are far from do all the bad things described
in this article... VERY far.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I think the GMs (and whoever is filling in for Joe) should take a good
look at that.

I'd like to think so too, Martin.... but quite a few monsters do get
fucked with long after they were introduced to the game... also not
too long ago a change was made to the "luck" system, honestly its been
so long since then I dunno if things were reverted or the new "luck"
change we experienced not long ago is still in effect,

and to be totally honest, I'm really starting to not care anymore...
The GM's don't seem to care about the players anymore (cept for small
sects, HI PM!)

WatsonGM even stated the other day that the population problem took a
backseat (possibly took a "trunk"?) to his ranger code.

CODE for crying out loud.

sigh.... someday. someone will get this whole MMORPG thing right....

someday.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I agree that they should read it. I see plenty of parallels in the
article.

Please submit your code for the Windows client at your earliest possible
convenience.

Oh, there are restrictions (not just any-old-client code will be
accepted.) Please research these before submitting.

Thank you.

Funny, I see exactly what the article is talking about.

I say once again that ALL CL GMs should take a very very good look at
this article.
