You can install Macsbug. It works well enough in OS X. When Classic
freezes, press Command-Power (can't use a sucky new Apple keyboard).
Macsbug will tell you what the current application is. The command
stdlog dumps information that a software developer can read.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
