What I would recomend is doing some pros/cons anylalisis (sp).
for example:
1. How many pages a month are you going to actually need color?
2. price per page on both toner and inkjet ink? figure 250
pages per ink refil.
3. Can you get the supplies easily?
4. Will the printer I select work with my computer? (thats not
a minor issue!)
Since I mainly print black and white, and not quite as often.
an inkjet per page for me was outragious as there isn't any b&w
models still made. the price for my Lexmark E232 laser priner (its 2
years old model) supplies was much less expensive than on a Deskjet
color inkjet per ream of paper (500 sheets). it had postscript/PCL and
additional printer memory was available. (I upped mine to the max of
80MB.) Prints at 22 PPM and toner doesn't clog up if not used often.
Since we are talking about COLOR printing.... the same
evaluations can be used here. Just remember that inkjets may be
cheaper initially but in the long run. the laser will beat it page per
page when you factor the toner/drums vs inkjet cartridges/printheads.
