Can someone tell me where the c and c++ compilers are on Panther?

I cannot locate them on my new PowerBook.

Look in /Applications/Installers, the SDK installer may already be there.

If not, I assume you got install DVDs like I did. If you put the first DVD
in you'll see a package that's something like "Application restore" (sorry,
too lazy to actually find the DVD and get the right name ;}). Double click
this. After all the license stuff you'll be given some options of what to
install where you can choose the developer tools. This installs an
installer in /Applications/Installers.

You can also download more up-to-date developer tools than ship on the
Panther CDs at <http://connect.apple.com/>. You'll have to sign up for
a free online ADC account if you don't already have one.
