Disabling Diacritic Marks

When I type in a well-known word that uses diacritic marks, such as
café, the accent mark is automatically appended. This is causing
problems when I create a .csv file of the document and upload into a
content management system. Does anyone know how to disable this
feature? Thanks.

One way:

Tools/Autocorrect... uncheck the "Replace text as you type" checkbox
