I'm having problems accessing ESPN ( LIVE ) Radio content. I'm running
OSX 10.2.8 ( JAGUAR ). Although the problem exists on my powerbook as
well, that is running OSX 10.3.5 ( PANTHER ).
When I attempt to access " LISTEN NOW " content, I get the following
message " Cannot open the file. Verify that path and filename are
correct and try again." What's odd however is that when I try to
listen to ESPN NEWS ( which is the link directly below on the page )
I'm able to connect and WMP plays the file. As I said this is odd
because both are LIVE content.I get the same results whether I'm using
SAFARI or IE. I'm also behind a home NORTON firewall. How can I solve
this problem ?

Several thing you can try:
repair permissions
trash the .plist file for WMP
trash the pref file for WMP
make sure the name of the drive doesn't contain any special characters

If none of this work, then it's probably one of the (numerous) bugs in
WMP. Try to download the .asx file to the desktop and open t with a text
editor. Find the <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="mms://" target="_blank">mms://</a> link in there and copay and paste it in WMP to
the Open URL command.
