Post subject: OUTLOOK EXPRESS fails to filter incomming mail into
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>mac (more info?)

GREETINGS to OUTLOOK USERS and WIZARDS who know it well.
EMAIL FILTERING mess:
I HAVE had this PROBLEM with OUTLOOK EXPRESS for WINXP for over 18 MONTHS:
(No-one has an answer - MS staff, Bigpond, Leading Edge, Optima):

DATA
A: HAVE 2 Bigpond addresses - the Primary & a Secondary - PAY $1.00 each
for the last 4 years.
THESE ARE USED in WINDOWS LOG-ONS
A DeleteThis @bigpond.net.au
B DeleteThis @bigpond.net.au
B: HAVE email domain: say www.BlueHeeler.dog.au

I have interpreted the Identities in Outlook to being
1- Capable of allowing me to open each Server account in 2 seperate logo-ons.
Q1: CORRECT? Incorrect?

THEREUPON;
2-Capable of allowing me, IN those two Log-ons, to apply OE6 iDENTITIES so
that I create 3 each www.BlueHeeler.dog.au email identities, SAY

In Log-On `A', in respect of User Account A, [A@bigpond.net.au, as above]
ADog DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.au
AMailBox.BlueHeeler.Dog.au
AKennel DeleteThis @BlueHeller.Dog.au

and, as you'll read ahead, in Windows Log-On `B', in respect of User Account
B, [B@Bigpond.net.au], a set of email addresses as, AS before, Outlook
identities:

Bark DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.Au
Bone DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.au
Puppies DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.au

Setting the very important identities open firts in each log-on:
AMailBox DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.au opens IN: Log-on A, FOR USER A DeleteThis @Bigpond.net.au
Bark DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.Au
- OPENS in LOGON B, FOR USER B DeleteThis @Bigpond.net.au.

Of course, this is the fictional version, but what effectively happened for
a long time IS:

THE EMAILS addressed to the RELEVANT Dogmail domain address WENT without
going astray, into the IN-BOX of the OUTLOOK identity.

This is how I could avoid paying an extra $1.00 for server User Names, I
thought.

HOWEVER, some time about 18 months ago, INDISCRETE RECEIVAL of mail stared
to happen.
THIS means that the A mail started to appear ANY identity, A or B.
So...
Confidential mail on secret flavourings for Pal Dog, addressed to
AKennel DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.au, were turning up in Bark DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.com.au.

The idle pawprints of Puppies DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.dog.au keep turning up at the
official address, AMailBox DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.Au.

The indiscrete pantings of a blonde poodle, intended only for
ADog DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.Au, start to mystify Mrs Blue Heeler at
Bone DeleteThis @BlueHeeler.Dog.Au.

Fellow doggies, we have got to STOP this happening. Surely the beauty of
Outlook identities is that it MUST be able to permit a spectra of interests
to be identified as email addresses which allow you to send and an receive on
their subjects, from indivudual email addresses.
The question is... DOES IT?

A cocky Bigpond alpha male made a demonstration which proved, he said that
Outlook Express `can't tell the difference', and that I needed a fully-paid
up luxury domain, with all the bangs and whistles.

Of all parties, I ask: WHO will HOUND DOWN the truth and HOWL OUT the
solution???

Mrs Bleu Heeleur must not receive any more pantings from Blonde Poodle.

Four levels of advise have led to no sure solution.
