Any hints as to whether the Dec 5 release date that shows up around the
web has any basis in reality?

Nothing at the core, eh? Not surprised.

I think it's a reference to JFK's "Ich bin ein Berliner!" that so wowed
the crowd. He had in effect stated that he was a local pastry. Now, if
he'd said "Ich bin Berliner!" ..

Amazon.com is taking pre-orders saying it should be released shortly.

Price: $35.99
You Save: $4.00 (10%)

Availability: This item will be released on January 15, 2004. You may
order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.

FeralInteractive still shows it as coming soon. So it's only about a
year behind schedule?

What are the odds that this is actually going to be a worthwhile,
interesting sim? Their product lineup doesn't impress me much, and the
system requirements aren't very demanding. That's great for folks with older
Macs and I applaud them for that, but at the same time, it doesn't sound
very ambitious.

Well, I for one have been waiting a long time for this.
Too few helo sims as it is. I played Apache to death last spring. And I
need a new sim to run on my already dated G4 450 sawtooth.
