File inserted in power point presentation won't open durin..

I want to insert a word (excel or pdf) document in a ppt file so that the
file will open during the slide show.
I have inserted the file by using the Insert > Object > Create from file >
Browse and select my file.
When I run the slide show, the first page of the file displays on the slide,
but if I click on it, I get the next ppt slide, not the file. The only way I
can open the file is to end the slide show, then right click on the embedded
file, and select Document Object > Open.
Can't I open the file without all the above steps during a presentation?

If you want to open the object you need to right click and choose "action settings..." then choose "object action" and select the option "open"<br>
<br>
This way you can open the file during the presentation.
