One of our users complains that large Photoshop CS files open very slowly on
his 867MHz 1.25GB G4 with OS 10.3.3 compared to when his machine ran OS 9.2
and Photoshop 7.

He is opening 100-150MB files stored on a G5 OS X Server machine via gigabit
ethernet. These are open files directly on the server - they are not copied
to his hard drive. Other client machines open the files faster.

Could memory allocation and disk swapping be an issue? He often has Classic
applications Illustrator 8 and Photoshop 6 open with assigned memory.

Is Suitcase 10's font auto-activation potentially a problem?

Thanks in advance.
