Is there a Mac Mini Freeware DVD burning software that DOE.. - I have an external 16x USB2 dvd driver, the firmware is up to date, the disks are good quality. Tiger is bang up to date. But it can take literally hours to burn even a 100Mb onto a DVD disk. What ever app I use, it always seems to use that thing with.

Maybe now he wants to address all those Power Mac 7500, 8500, and
whatever other models were on his long list of Macs that won't boot for
him with a dead battery.

To be pedantic plain text and quoted printable are not mutually exclusive.
text/plain is a content TYPE. quoted-printable is a transfer ENCODING.

It's a result of Erik Richard's post being in "quoted printable" format
instead of plain text. You can see it in his headers thus:

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Under this scheme "=20" means end of line.

I have found that if I set my e-mail server to 7-bit, the inclusion of a
single accented character in a message will result in it being sent as
quoted-printable. IOW, your name would trigger that when passing through
a 7-bit server.
