PGP To Offer Whole Disk OS X Encryption
PGP Chef Tech Officer has revealed that PGP will release a version of
its whole disk encryption software for OS X in the near future. This
will be a boon for OS X users, especially laptop users who are more
likely to lose or have their machines stolen. The new PGP product will
encrypt the entire boot disk. OS X already features FileVault, but
that focuses on encrypting the user's home directory. With PGP whole
disk encryption every OS X user can be assured their data and vital
information is kept safe even if stolen or lost.

I was just curious. Although, as I've mentioned, MacSOUP's autokill
option lets me kill the entire thread, I chose not to use that when
killfiling The OS/2 Guy because I've occasionally seen some worthwhile
discussions start from his posts. Rather than killfile Dieter, too,
just yet, I'd like to let him know that his responses to The OS/2 Guy
are about as annoying, in my opinion.

If OS/2 Guy's posts were actually useful, I'd cut him some slack. To
start, most of his posts are just regurgitated news I've already read on
real Mac news web sites. Secondly, OS/2 Guy makes it a practice to cut
the useful information out of his "helpful" posts, and replacing it with
a link to his own web site "for more information". He's free to use such
silly tactics to get more hits on his web site if he wants. On the rare
occasion that I haven't already read about something in his posts, rebel
that I am, I'd rather go out of my way to read about it elsewhere than
visit *his* web site to find out more.

Dieter is just trying to make the folks here aware that this idiot who
mislabels himself the OS/2Guy is just a troll who has been plaguing
the OS/2 groups for over a decade. Interesting that he started out
the same way back then hawking a web site with information he took
from others. Note that all his web sites are all registered to
someone else - Larry Chauvet. Who ever he really is you can be
assured that his information is deceptive at best and he will
eventually create lots of discord in the group. Its his pattern. Now
he has chosen to start his trolling in the Mac groups as well. He
posts the same drivel in the OS/2 groups where it is completely
off-topic and he doesn't properly cross-post so people like myself who
read both have to ignore his drivel in multiple places now. I guess
his contract wih micro$oft was extended and expanded.

It is always best to ignore trolls and this guy is one of the worse.

Well, just reading the OS/2 Guy's posts is all it took to get me to
killfile him, along with the very fact that he even calls him the OS/2
Guy in Mac newsgroups.

Yeah, which is why I think Dieter is working unnecessarily at getting
himself killfiled as well.

That wouldn't hurt me and i am telling you why.
If you want to see how productive a real psycho troll, like Timmy boy,
can be, go to the google newsgroups, go to comp.sys.mac misc, find a
post of Timmy boy, and then take a look at his profile. Then you find
that he could post in 1 month more then 500 posts, very nasty posts.
So kill filing me, and don't forget to kill file that nasty troll, would
be a good Salomons verdict.

Bye, Dieter.

My point, for the third time, is that I can see, and HAVE SEEN ALREADY,
for myself, that he's someone to killfile and I have already done so.
