I have HALO and recently got dual Cinema Displays (20"). Great stuff!

I have been playing at 1024x768 and it fills the screen vertically
with bars on left and right. I just saw that the game has some
widescreen modes: 1280x800 and 1344x840 - both of these have a 1.6
aspect ratio, just like the Cinema's native 1680x1050.

However, while things seem fine in 1024x768 mode (target circle
appears to be an actual circle), everything looks squished in the
other, widescreen modes. This seems odd to me as the Cinema display
matches the aspect ratio of those resolutions - it seems HALO's fault
that these things are squished.

What mode are you guys running in? Even at the top res things seem
plenty fast on my dual G4 800 + GeForce 4Ti.

I also have the 20" Cinema Display and utilize the 1344x840 and it
works well with my 867 Quicksilver and Geforce 4Ti. I look for sites
with a low ping rate when playing Multiplayer and had no real problems.
Hope we soon get the update that the PCers have so there will be more
servers.

Norm

I think it's just the HUD that's distorted. The tops and the bottoms of
what's normally rendered on a 4:3 display are chopped off and the Hud
squashed vertically. At least that's what it looks like when I compare
the picture on my PowerBook 800 to my PowerMac on a 21" 4:3 CRT.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
