I've never tried it, but might it work something like loading
atom bombs does -- that is, you have to click on the airplane icon on
the squadron information screen, and then click on an order to load a
paratrooper unit? (I'm sorry if my terms are fuzzy -- I haven't been
able to play the game in a few weeks, and I never get these names all
that right anyway.)
