Now that's interesting. I hadn't realized that Dutch was evolving anything
like that rapidly. Is this because national barriers in the EU are
dissolving, or for some other reason?

Heh. There are still some American churches that use the Kings James Bible,
known inaccuracies and all, and that was written, what, 400 years ago?

It may not be an entirely accurate translation, but the poetic force of the
language can't be matched. At least it hasn't been so far.

Same thing over here: some churches still use the 'Statenvertaling', also
about 400 years old.
