Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>system, others (more info?)

I am responsible for changing the root password on a ton of IP-networked
OS X machines and want to do it securely. I may also be called upon to
change another account password.

I'm not a programmer, so I'd appreciate any leads on how to securely
automate the process.

Thanks for any leads.
