Is it possible to hide the background of slides when they are printed
as notes? I've been told that this is possible with the Windoze
version of PPT but I can't find any likely looking option in the Print
dialog box.

I print as notes to add some graphics to each page (I use them as
handouts).

I'm using PPT 2004.

Thanks for any info.

Jack

The Windows versions hide backgrounds when you print in b/w but not when you
print in color.

I too would like to print in black and white. Is this possible with
the Mac version?

I am trying to print notes in black and white on a Mac without having
the slide background show. Can anyone let me know if this is possible?

I won't be able to use the Mac for a few days, so I'm hoping someone else can pick
up on this. But have you tried the Grayscale and/or Pure B/W options for printing
your notes pages?

Hi,

There seems to be a little trick to doing this.

Before you print, use View > Master > Notes Master.

Click on the box that represents the slide to select it, then use Format >
Notes Background. Click the pop-up control and choose Automatic. Then click
the Apply button.

Then click the Close button on the tiny Notes Master toolbar.

Now use File > Print. In Print What choose Notes. For Output choose
Grayscale or Black and White. The slide background will not print, but it
will display normally on screen.
