Some time back I decided to clean the dead wood out the History window
on my copy of Netscape 7.02 on a Mac iBook, OS 9.2.2, and as best I
recall I did this by Selecting the History window contents and hitting
either Delete or ctrl-X.

I just recently noticed that since then the History window hasn't been
accumulating anything -- the History command is still under the Go menu
and the History window opens, but it just stays empty.

How can I turn the History function back on or put it back in operation?

Thanks, AES

I have no idea whether it's related or not, but it's worth looking.
Netscape keeps a "history.dat" file in the folder where it stores your
other data (exact location based on your profile name). Perhaps that
file has somehow gotten damaged. You might try moving it to the trash
with NS not running and see if it resolves the issue.

With Netscape closed, go into your User Profile, and delete the History
file altogether. On restart, it should be back.
