Hello,
I'm looking for download the old "Inside Mac" books about MacOs. Some
time ago, I found same .PDF files at Apple's web, but now it seems that
they have been erased or moved. Do you know if still they are available?

thanks in advance
jl

'Inside Mac: Files' is downloadable here:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/Files/Files-2.html" target="_blank">http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/Files/Files-2.html</a>

Some others are available via links on that page...

Others aren't but are available in similar pages:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/Toolbox/Toolbox-2.html" target="_blank">http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/Toolbox/Toolbox-2.html</a>

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/MoreToolbox/MoreToolbox" target="_blank">http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/MoreToolbox/MoreToolbox</a>
-2.html

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/QuickDraw/QuickDraw-" target="_blank">http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/QuickDraw/QuickDraw-</a>
2.html

[etc]

The only one I wasn't able to find (of those I tried) was Inside
Macintosh: Overview - which books-on-line.com indicates has 'gone
away', though they still include the old link to Apple, which
redirects to the current index of dev doco.]

These aren't the OLD old Inside Mac books though. The ones which
just had the volume number on them.

All I did, by the way, was type the title into Safari's
google-search area - first link on the list.

Have Fun
Martin

I'm about to toss THOSE books today. If anyone wants them, e-mail me
quickly. I'll probably toss the new Inside Mac books too.

And if _two_ people want Howard's books, the second one can contact me.

Well you're not getting mine!

I only have _Inside Mac_, not the _New Inside Mac_.

Oh, and I also have the Apple ][ reference manual. You're not getting
that either :p

Want a spare set of the white books? Just in case? They're yours for the
cost of shipping. I really would rather find a good home for mine than
see them destroyed.

Maybe eBay is a better answer -- there could be people there who don't
read the newsgroup...

I listed mine on eBay a few weeks ago. Offered to ship them to the high
bidder for shipping cost, no actual bid. Got lots of looks. Got no
takers.
