Post subject: Installation
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>virtualpc (more info?)

I'm installing Virtual PC 2007 on a Windows XP (latest updates) PC.
Installation directory NOT on the C-disk.

I created a virtual PC using the wizard and now I want to start it.
But it keeps looking for DHCP and after some time it tells me
"Reboot and select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected boot device"

I rebooted my PC, put Windows XP installation disk in the DVDdrive, created
the VHD file in the root of the C-disk.
But still the same : it doesn't start.

How to find out what is causing this and how to solve it?
(Remark : should certain services be activated??)

Please post to microsoft.public.virtualpc for VPC on Windows computers.
This newsgroup is for VPC6/7 for Apple MacIntosh users.
