Yep.
Your OS installer may or may not be compatible with other model
Macs. Your software restore discs definitely will not be.
As a hack-around, you can copy the disk image parts from each
software restore CD to a single folder on your hard drive and then
double-click part 1 to mount the hard drive image. At which point,
you can attempt drag/drop installation of the apps you find.
Some apps will work if you do this. Some may not. Try this at your
own risk.
