I want to install either Windows 95 and I have the upgrade CD to ME.
Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to do this. The
manual S--- and so does the 'help'! I got to where I installed 95 in
the VPC list, with the VPC disk assistant but when I launch I get "OS
not installed on this PC". How do I get it on this PC? grrrr...

You have to INSTALL Windows from the cd-rom or disk, just like a real
PC.

You will need a boot disk, get one from bootdisk.com and use a disk
image.

See this guide, it doesn't include Win95, but the Win98 steps will get
you moving in the right direction.

For a step-by-step guide to installing Win98 see the PDF here:

SJ, what do you mean '...and use a disk image'? I downloaded the
win95 boot file from bootdisk.com which is an exe file. So I went on
my old pc and double clicked the file to make a floppy (don't have a
floppy on my imac) then I created a data cd on my pc with all the info
that was on my floppy. Then I came to my iMAC and put the cd in then
hit start up in VPC list to start win95 and when it came up with
'...OS not on system', I mounted the cd in the VPC toolbar and then
hit enter. Nothing happens?? Please help. thx.
