I have 2nd gen I-pod and was working fine until about 2 weeks ago, now when
I hook it up to my ibook, my ibook won't recognize it, it will charge it,
but it won't allow to me to add/remove music. My fire wire port seems to be
fine in the system profiler, until I plug in the I-pod, then it doesn't
recognize anything, if anyone has any idea please any help would be great

Thomas

You might try booting from a Norton disc and running Norton Disk Doctor
on it.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

You could also try to run the iPod updater and reinstall the iPod software
on the device. You'll lose your music and files, but you can redownload them
after.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
