Virtual PC and Knoppix or Knoppix-STD

I'm currently working with Knoppix-STD, and while it boots and
operates under Virtual PC, it's not picking up the XServer
configuration correctly. Has anyone made this work? Does anyone know
the magic 'cheat code' to send to Knoppix or Knoppix-STD to make it
work correctly?

Try using generic VESA as the video card, and NEVER use 24-bit color.
