Konica FTP?

I'm working with a friend who has a Konica 7130 and a Mac running
10.4. they scan images on the Konica and then pull to the Mac using
ScanTrip. The retrival process stopped working a few months ago.
Vendor can not help.
My question is I thought I should be able to FTP or telnet into the
Konica, but it refuses all passwords. The vendor does not think FTP
or telnet will work on the Konica. he tells me to use a browser to
web into it. that fails. Vendor says it's the user network that is
causing the problem. He takes the interface cards to his office and
says they work fine when accessed by Windows machines (and Windows
software)
I _assume_ the Konica scans to memory (hard drive?) and the programs
use FTP to
Does anyone know if FTP or telnet will work on the Konica?
