Panther 10.3/Lexmark printing problems - Hi: I've been having problems printing to my Lexmark Optra E310 laser printer following an archive & install of Panther, but they're odd, and don't seem to be related to the installer script that's sometimes not run that's been discussed a lot. F

Lexmark all-in-one - Is there such a thing as a Lexmark that (a) _really_ is (I mean, with FAX--how can they call it an if it doesn't have a built-in FAX???), and (b) works with Checking the various models, it looks like it's either..

lexmark 2500 - I got a lexmark 2500 to replace another cheap printer, my old Epson 777, and the lexmark does a great job. It also has functions for FAX and scanning and copying. Has anyone been able to use the FAX or scanning functions on OSX? TIA! Mark

HI All

I (foolishly!) admitted to knowing a bit about computers - so a friend
has asked me to help with this problem. My experience is 100% PCs -
which is why I'm seeking advice from you experts <g>

OK - friend has been given a IMAC, running OS X 10.2.8, 576meg memory
400MHz PowerPC G3.

His aim is to be able to manipulate and print images from his Fuji
digital camera, as well as do a bit of w/p work.

He purchased a new (but cheap!) Lexmark 3350 All-in-one
printer/scanner device.

After installing the latest Lexmark s/w, we still can't get the
printer to work - although the scanner operates OK - suggest that the
USB connection is working..

Attempts to print lead to the 'add printer' dialogue, but, even though
the Lexmark is visible in the Printer List, under 'type' it says
'Driver not installed' - and there seems to be no way to install the
driver....

Have contacted Lexmark tech support who promised to phone me back,
but didn't.....

....so I wondered if anybody had been down this road before - and, if
so, whether they found a solution ?

There's also a rumour that iPhoto (1.1.1) isn't really much use as an
image editor, and wouldn't, for instance, allow a photo to be cropped,
tweaked and then saved. Is this true ? and, if so - can anybody
recommend a suitable (=free or very cheap!) package that would do this
for my friend ?

Many thanks in advance
Adrian
