Does anyone know if there is a MAPI compatible e-mail client that will
run on OS 9.x?

Thanks!

How about MS Outlook 2001? I don't know if MS is still offering this
free client on their Mactopia servers, but they used to. Works great for
me on OS 8.6-9.2.2, as well as under Classic in Jaguar and Panther.

I think that's going to be your only option. MAPI is MS-proprietary, and
I don't believe any other clients read it.

Unless you meant IMAP, which Eudora is good at.

MS Entourage seems to crash when trying to access IMAP servers like
those at AOL. (OS 9.2.2) In fact the damage causes theapp to crash at
launch after first attempt and subsequent crash. It took me a while
to determine what the bad file was because its not a prefs file in the
traditional sense.

I found that Netscape 7 (Gecko) and Moz 1.2.1 and 1.3.1 work well in
this area. I can access AOl mail fine with them.

Later versions of both should also work fine.

I sometimes use Entourage 2001 under OS 9.1 to access several AOL mailboxes
with no trouble.
