I am having constant problems with printing on my USB Epson C82. I am
running a beige G3 tower with OS 9.2.1. I have a USB card installed.
Almost every program I use freezes when I go to print after it has
loaded about a 3rd of the way in cache. In Word I can print the first
page then it freezes (literal computer freeze).

What is up with that?

I haven't upgraded my USB drivers in a while, could that do it??

I also just started using a USB keyboard and mouse, I have a USB CD-RW,
and I am planning on getting a USB scanner. How do I clean up my USB
drivers?

I have had some conflicts with the USB CD-ROM in the past and at this
moment I am not sure what I did but it was something like shutting off
the USB Authoring Driver and something else.

If this isn't the place to talk about USB I apologize. If you can direct
me to the right group I will take my issues there.

Thanks for your feed back.

Rick

Your Epson Print Monitor needs more memory. Do a search for Epson on
your computer and look for Epson Monitor 3 (don't remember if there's
spaces or not). Increase the memory to 5000 or 10000K

Also, Epson posted new drivers for OS 8 and OS 9 in June so it wouldn't
hurt to download those, expand them, then install them. Epson Monitor 3
needs to have the added memory reset after any update, as I recall.
Looks like there's two you'll need to install, one from June 3rd, and a
printer driver update on June 9th.

Thank you both. Your information is very helpful. I will get on it and
follow up if necessary.

Mucho gracias
